This System Configuration provides a testbed for the correct operation of instances of the SignalProducer and SignalConsumer Function Block (FB) types, and their interoperation over a local Signal Adapter connection within the same Resource (SIGNAL_TEST.VIEW):

• Upon operation of the Init or NewValue button in the left panel:
  • The corresponding event is transmitted to the right panel for display.
  • The slider position in the left panel is transferred to the cylinder display in the right panel and is also displayed as a REAL number in both the left and right panels.
  • The time at which the event was triggered is shown in the left panel and transmitted to the right panel for display.
  • The signal quality (a value of the DATA_QUALITY Data Type) is converted to a value of the USINT Data Type and transmitted to the right panel for display.
  • NOTE - All of the data and event transmissions mentioned above occur simultaneously across the Signal adapter connection from the PRODUCER FB to the CONSUMER FB in the VIEW Resource.
• Operation of the slider in the left-hand panel has the same effect as operation of the NewValue button.
