This Adapter Type has been proposed for experimental use in the context of Open Process Automation™. Its operation is described by the Service Sequences shown above.

NOTE: It is proposed that following changes be made for improved portability, interoperability, and configurability:

1. Change the data type of the Signal.Quality variable from USINT to DATA_QUALITY.
2. Change the data type of the Signal.Value variable from REAL to SREAL.
