The PNP_VIEWL system configuration implements the layered View testing architecture for the pick and place example. The HMI device encapsulates the functionality of the human interface layer, and the VIEW device encapsulates the functionality of the View layer. The VIEW device contains an instance of the specialized VIEW_PANEL resource type to provide the necessary layout of View elements for the pick and place example. Inter-layer communication is implemented with the local multicast pattern, e.g., by using PUBL_4/SUBL_4 for linking the MECHC_HMIL/XY_VIEWL pair.

Use the controls to exercise the View elements.
Click on a View element to simulate a fault.
Click again to clear the fault condition.
