This System Configuration illustrates a mechatronic design of the Assembly Station example. As shown by the highlighted elements in the accompanying figures, this is done by modifying the distributed ASM_MVCDR2 configuration as follows:

1. The ASM_MVCDR2.MODEL Device is renamed to ASM_MVCDM2.MACHINE to emphasize its mechatronic nature.
2. The ASSY_CTL Resource is moved from the ASM_MVCDR2.CONTROL Device to the ASM_MVCDM2.MACHINE Device.
3. The ASM_MVCDR2.CONTROL Device is renamed to ASM_MVCDM2.HMI to emphasize that it now serves only the Human/Machine Interface function.
4. The DIAGNOSTICS.TAGS and MACHINE.TAGS Resources are modified to show that actuator data is now produced in the MACHINE Device and consumed by the DIAGNOSTICS and HMI Devices.
